I am the mother of one amazing 14 year old son, a spoiled little Shihtzu named Princess Leia, and have been married to my handsome hubby for over 18 years. I am a native of sunny Arizona which makes me a bit of a rarity out here in the wild, wild west. — YeeHaw!
I am an aspiring (wannabe) photographer and finally got my hands on my very first Nikon DSLR camera at the end of 2010 and have had a blast mastering how to use it ever since. I am a lover of writing, graphic design, typography and all things artsy-fartsy that I find living inside of my computer. I am secretly an avid political junkie with an independent, conservative bent and I have been an enthusiastic laundry hater since…well…ever.
The single greatest influence in my life is my faith in Jesus Christ. His word and his Holy Spirit have profoundly changed me and I know that I live as a better version of myself as I follow after him.
About Grace in Progress…
I left my ideas of perfection behind long ago and came to grips with the fact that I am a constant work in progress. I have learned that anything good about me is due to God’s perfect grace working through me, NOT because of me. Fortunately, my own awesome-sauce & try-hard achievements don’t determine my worth or God’s decision to love me.
My hope is that this blog will be a place that celebrates God’s dynamic grace through writing, photography and inspirational graphics.
Sue around the blog-O-sphere…
I actually started blogging in March of 2010 to document our homeschool journey with a lighthearted, pink website called The Homeschool Chick and later co-founded a fun, interactive online community for homeschoolers called Hip Homeschool Moms. While I’ve really enjoyed blogging about our family’s homeschool journey over the the past few years, my primary connection to the online homeschool world is now through my Homeschool Chick fan page and store.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Blessings to you,
